Who We Are
Ambassadors for Christ Society (AFCS) is a community-based organization dedicated to supporting the Eritrean and broader Black community in Abbotsford. We empower individuals and families—especially newcomers—as they adjust, grow, and thrive in their new environment.
At AFCS, we believe in the power of unity, cultural identity, and compassionate support. Through our programs and services, we foster connection, promote well-being, and help build a strong, resilient community.
Our mission
Our mission is to promote unity, empowerment, and community development among the Eritrean diaspora through a range of community -based initiatives, cultural exchange programs, and humanitarian efforts. We strive to create a supportive environment where individuals and families can thrive, maintaining their cultural heritage while adapting to their new surroundings.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every member of the Eritrean and Black community is equipped with the resources, knowledge, and opportunities needed to lead fulfilling lives. Our aim is to be a pillar of support that enriches lives through comprehensive programs and services that address the socio-economic, educational, and spiritual needs of our community.
